Our BODIES belong to the LORD

 

1 Corinthians 6:19

King James Version

19 What? 

know ye not that your body is the temple 

of the Holy Ghost which is in you, 

which ye have of God, 

and ye are not your own?

How misled all of us have been.

How corrupt our bodies have become.

How vile our minds have become.

Everything we watch, buy, think, and aspire for, have been focused on our bodies alone.

We have created temples, and gods, of fat, lust, greed, vanity, and pride.

But did you know our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit?

1 Corinthians 3:16

King James Version

16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, 

and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

And that our bodies, and spirits, belong to the Lord?

1 Corinthians 6:20

King James Version

20 For ye are bought with a price: 

therefore glorify God in your body, 

and in your spirit, 

which are God's.

And because our bodies belong to God, it is holy.

1 Corinthians 3:17

17 If any man defile the temple of God, 

him shall God destroy; 

for the temple of God is holy, 

which temple ye are.

Generations past have not taught us to honor our bodies, and spirits, to glorify God alone.

We have all been deceived, and deluded.

Can we go back in time, and repair the damage?

We can only move forward now, as born again Christians, committing our lives, and ways to Jesus.

We must be sealed by the Holy Spirit of God, if we are to be worthy of the Lord.

Our vessels must be used for God's glory, in obedience to His will.

Romans 12:1

King James Version

12 I beseech you therefore, brethren, 

by the mercies of God, 

that ye present your bodies 

a living sacrifice, 

holy, 

acceptable unto God, 

which is your reasonable service.

Self will disappear, when you commit your life to the Lord.

And you will not mind it at all.

If anything, you wish you had known it sooner.

The ways of the world will not appeal to you anymore.

If we have any love for God, let us sanctify our bodies, through the Holy Spirit of God, that we may be made worthy.

We must become holy, in honor of the Lord.

1 Corinthians 6:13

King James Version

13 Meats for the belly, 

and the belly for meats: 

but God shall destroy both it and them. 

Now the body is not for fornication, 

but for the Lord; 

and the Lord for the body.

When the moment of Rapture comes, the faithful's bodies will be changed.

We cannot meet the Lord as we are now.

While there's still time, we need to pay immediate attention.

This blog BELONGS to GOD

 

2 Timothy 2:15

15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, 

a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, 

rightly dividing the word of truth.

God holds the copyright to this blog.

In fact, He owns everything.

My life, my work, everything that I am.

His Holy Spirit inspired me to create this 29th blog before breakfast.

Everything came easily.

Form.

Structure.

Content.

And yet, I modified the blog title THRICE.

From scratch.

Never happened before.

Such is one's zeal, when you work for the Lord.

First, I called it "ALL belong to GOD".

Sounded good.

So, I created it.

A couple of posts came forth.

Then, I wondered, shouldn't it be "ALL belongs to GOD"?

"ALL" is technically singular.

So, I deleted the first blog, and started over.

Soon as it's done, I became dissatisfied again.

Still didn't sound right.

Sounded cacophonic.

Grated on my ears.

I did write something about reading out loud, to see if it sounds right.

The first deleted blog sounded better.

Oh my.

Finally, I figured, why not use "EVERYTHING belongs to GOD"?

That way, it sounded good, simple, and straightforward.

Why break my coconut over "ALL"?

Sometimes, I can really be silly.

Now, there's no room for confusion.

Now, I can live with it -- for life.

No grammatical error.

Even a honed editor makes mistakes.

Why all this exercise?

I wanted the blog to be PERFECT for GOD.

It's God's blog.

How could I give the Lord, less?

Nope, not on my watch.

God knows my quirks.

It's not OCD.

It's plain love, and respect, for the Lord.

I don't stop till it's perfect for Him.

I don't care how many times I start over.

Pretty much like my own life when I first sought God.

Made so many mistakes.

I don't stop till I get it right.

After all, it's a gift for the Lord.

Voluntarily given.

My life, my work, His blog.

It must be perfect.

"EVERYTHING belongs to the LORD" it is.

I am guided by what Jesus commanded:

Matthew 5:48

48 Be ye therefore perfect, 

even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

Now, the blog feels right.

And I can feel God smiling.

Greatly amused.

And yet pleased.

He created all of us for a purpose.

May I live up to that purpose He designed me for.

It's time we paid homage to God.

It's time we honor the Creator of All.

It's time we loved God.

This blog was created a few minutes ago.

It wanted to be written.

So much so, everything came so easily.

The title, the form, the content.

God knows how much I've searched for Him, how much I've longed for His Truth, how much I wanted to get it right about Him.

Well, He showed up one day, when He knew I was ready.

Nearly 21 months ago, the Holy Spirit started teaching me about God, Jesus, Himself, the world, ourselves, the past, the present, and the future.

Are things any clearer?

Of course!

Only the Holy Spirit can bring clarity about God.

Only the Holy Spirit can teach us about Scripture.

Only the Holy Spirit can make us born again.

And yes, you've got to be born again to understand God, and Scripture.

If you're not, you'll have an incomplete education.

Everything's clear, simple, systematic.

An order known only to God.

What were we thinking we had one iota in creation?

What were we thinking we have some power on earth, much less in heaven?

It's time to set things right, and honor the LORD, for all He's done for us, for His LOVE, for His SON's death on the cross.
